Max joined IR+M in June 2013 and was named Senior Portfolio Manager and Co-Director of Portfolio Management in 2025. In his role, he oversees day-to-day investment activities across the firm’s strategies and focuses on evolving the firm’s investment technology and platform to promote efficiency and scalability.
Since joining IR+M, Max has held leadership roles across Operations, Technology, and the firm’s COO function. These experiences gave him a broad view of the organization and helped shape his approach to investment leadership.
Prior to joining IR+M, Max was a Senior Portfolio Manager in Fixed Income Beta Solutions at State Street Investment Management, where he worked across U.S. investment grade, high yield, and multi-currency inflation products.
Max earned a BA in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania, an MBA from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College, and an MS in Mathematics from Tufts University.
Max is an avid reader, pickleball player, and soccer fan, interests that reflect the curiosity, discipline, and strategic mindset he brings to his role in connecting people, process, and technology.
