Matt joined IR+M in June 2008 and was named General Counsel in 2019. In his role, he oversees the firm’s Legal and Enterprise Risk functions and partners closely with the Board of Directors and Management Committee on governance, regulatory matters, and risk oversight.
Throughout his tenure, Matt has played a pivotal role in developing the firm’s legal function and strengthening governance frameworks, while also supporting long-term strategic planning, including succession initiatives.
Prior to joining IR+M, Matt worked at Geode Capital Management as a Legal Assistant while attending law school.
Matt earned an AB in History and Political Science from Fordham University and a JD from New England School of Law.
