IR+M’s report illustrated how funded status waivered in September on the back of policymaking concerns, such as those around the Federal Reserve’s inflation expectations. The article covers how plan life stages differed in their reactions, as IR+M’s “Average Plan” funded status decreased by only 1.3% while the “End Stage Plan,” a plan with smaller allocations to growth assets, was unchanged.
